Putin Urges Calm As India Readies Nuclear Forces

Russian Foreign Ministry sources are reporting that Prime Minister Putin has telephoned India’s Prime Minister Manmohan Singh urging him to react to the attacks upon his Mumbai with ‘calm’ after being informed by Singh that he has invoked India’s National Security Act which puts their Nuclear Forces on
full alert’.

India’s NDTV News Service is further reporting that their elite Marine Commando Forces (MCF) are continuing their battles against the terrorist forces holding an estimated 150 hostages and that the death toll is over 200 dead with nearly 1,000 wounded.

Indian Military Intelligence sources are also reporting to the FSB that the initial ‘confessions’ of those terrorists apprehended show that they are from Pakistan and had entered into Mumbai with what is being termed a ‘strategic attack plan’ giving full details of the attack including the security plans and procedures of all hotels targeted in these attacks.

As we had previously reported on in our previous report, “Kissinger-Obama Team Targeted In Horrific India Terror Attack”, Pakistan’s Directorate of Inter-Services Intelligence [ISI] and US CIA forces are believed to be the ‘masterminds’ behind these attacks in order to derail President-Elect Obama’s attempts to bring a permanent peace to the Southeast Asia in his hopes of averting Total Global War.

This latest attack against India, these reports continue, appear to have permanently destroyed Obama’s hopes for achieving this peace as the tensions between the nuclear armed Nations of India and Pakistan which were already near the breaking point over Pakistan’s ISI intelligence services bombing of the Indian Embassy in Afghanistan in July and which killed over 40 people.

Newly elected Pakistan Prime Minister Asif Ali Zardari, who ascended to power after the ISI’s assassination of Benazir Bhutto, has sought to reign in the power of the rogue agency but only with limited success, and as we can read as reported by the Los Angles Times News Service:

“Pakistan’s powerful spy agency, the Directorate of Inter-Services Intelligence, has quietly shut down a unit that for decades spied on domestic politicians and exerted shadowy influence in affairs of state.

Analysts described the decision to deactivate the ISI’s “political wing” as the latest in a series of steps meant to separate the army and the security apparatus from domestic politics — and also to rehabilitate the spy agency’s battered public image.

The ISI, which nurtured the Taliban movement in the 1990s, has been dogged by allegations that elements within the agency are acting in concert with Islamic militant groups. Those tensions came to a head earlier this year when U.S. intelligence officials confronted Pakistan’s new civilian government with evidence of ISI complicity in militant activities, including the July bombing of the Indian Embassy in Afghanistan, and demanded agency reforms.

At the height of its powers, the ISI’s secretive political wing rigged national elections and arrested and intimidated domestic opponents, according to public accounts provided by some retired ISI officials.”

Not being understood by the American people about the attacks upon India is their Bush Administrations long push to have the Indian government and military factions join with them in their attempt to enjoin our World in Total War, and which up until today India has strongly resisted and which after today their own peoples may not allow them to do.

If the worst is to be expected, than our World will see a rapid escalation of hostilities between India and Pakistan leading to nuclear strikes which will destroy the already bankrupt Nation of Pakistan and lead to the ‘last buffer’ between the West and its goal of South and Central Asia hegemony over the last remaining proven oil and gas riches on Earth to be removed.

However, Russia, Iran and China have vowed that should the West attempt this move against them they will respond, and which as of this moment the Western Powers appear ready to accept, no matter how many hundreds of millions of our human race will be killed.

To those remaining skeptical over the United States and its Western Allies intentions to engulf the entire World in flames in order to insure their extravagant lifestyles while over half of our human race is starving to death, this attack on India should dispel any of their remaining illusions.

How Did Israel Manipulate the US Into Attacking Iraq And Declaring A “War On Terrorism”?

How Did Israel Manipulate the US Into Attacking Iraq And Declaring A “War On Terrorism”?

by  Nashid Abdul-Khaaliq

It is critical for anyone who is really after knowing the truth to consider two of the most significant events involving Americans since the year 2000. (1)The war on terrorism and (2) the attack on Iraq. How did we come to be involved with these events and also how did we go about assessing blame and identifying the culprits? Looking carefully and dispelling the hype pushed on us by an untrustworthy media would expose significant facts. Let’s look at the two events briefly:

1. 911 Attacks: The following is from the Globe Intel website:

Quote:

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon authorized the leak of sensitive documents which reveal America’s spy agencies were warned about a terrorist strike weeks before September 11… Mossad chiefs insist the Israeli spy agency was tracking Osama Bin-Laden’s terrorists in America before September 11 and that the information was passed on to the CIA on Five separate occasions before the attacks on the WTC and Pentagon. As late as August 24, less than two weeks before the attacks, a Mossad warning, confirmed by German intelligence, BND, said that “terrorists plan to hijack commercial aircraft to use as weapons to attack important symbols of American and Israeli culture.

The following is from the September 18, 2001 issue of the Jerusalem Post:

Quote:

…the Israeli officials specifically warned their counterparts in Washington that “large-scale terrorist attacks on highly visible targets on the American mainland were imminent.” They offered no specific information about targets, but they did link the plot to Afghanistan-based terrorist Osama bin Laden, and they told the Americans there were “strong grounds” for suspecting Iraqi involvement.

This was an accusation more than it was a warning! Mossad’s pointing the finger to Bin Laden in advance was an attempt to ensure that Bin Laden was blamed for the attack, to pre-empt the finger-pointing. They wanted no other possibilities to be considered! As a result a lock was placed on Bin Laden. Along with Bin Laden they skillfully also pointed to Iraq, an enemy that they wanted to use the Americans to get rid of. Please note that this was reported on September 18, 2001 in an important Israeli newspaper right after 911. Israel took the initiative way back then to lead the Americans on who to blame and who to attack for 911. They already had their spy network in place in the U.S. and were armed with explosives and in all the right places to carry out 911. They were so exact about when and where it was going to take place that none of their people got killed in the WTC, some even received Odigo warnings 2 hours before it happened and others were strategically placed to film and celebrate the twin towers destruction. Such fantastic knowledge and details is truly amazing for one who did not plan and execute the act.

What even rubs more salt into the wound for thinking Americans is that The American Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) identified the group of speculators who made profits from the 911 attacks to be Israelis! You can read more about this at the following link: 911 Insider stock trades . Not only did the Israelis cause Americans misery on 911, they profited handsomely from it and have caused America to treat all of Israel’s enemies as American enemies. Today Hizbullah, Hamas and all legitimate freedom fighters in Palestine along with countries like Syria and Iran which at one time were Israel’s enemies are now America’s enemies. Not to mention the total obliteration of Israel’s arch enemy Iraq.

2. Attack On Iraq: Israel manipulated western intelligence agencies to attack Iraq. Here is a story about this from the Hebrew Press where an Israeli general admits how his government manipulated the American and British intelligence agencies:

Quote:

How Israel Manipulated Western Intelligence Agencies
Richard H. Curtiss, Special to Arab News

WASHINGTON, 19 December 2003 — It’s no secret that much of the news reported in Israel’s Hebrew-language media never reaches the mainstream American press, for the simple reason that items unfavorable to Israel generally are not translated. And, because very few Israelis break this self-imposed censorship, items from the Hebrew press that do appear may be much more newsworthy than their anemic English translations indicate.

It was a bit stunning, therefore, to read an article in Strategic Assessment, the quarterly bulletin issued by the Jaffee Center for Strategic Studies at Tel Aviv University. The report, titled “The War in Iraq: An Intelligence Failure?” was written by Shlomo Brom, a brigadier general in the Israeli Army reserves, and said what no one seems to have dared publish since President George W. Bush decided to wage war on Iraq. Shockingly, it told the full truth about the American and British intelligence “sources” making the case for war.

In fact, according to Brom, these sources were utterly compromised by Israeli intelligence, which made the case for starting the war and kept it going as long as necessary. The retired general described Israel as a “full partner” in US and British intelligence failures that exaggerated Iraq’s nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs in the lead up to the US-led invasion…

In both these examples Israel led American actions on who to blame and who to attack. Can we say it is coincidence that the only nation in the world that is leading us to blindly follow their suggestions in matters of critical importance to the U.S. is Israel? How is it that this small nation has so much power and pulls over the mighty U.S.?

This should be of great concern to Americans. We are being led to kill and be killed not as a result of American interests but as a result of being manipulated by a foreign country for their gain. The recent Harvard study exposing the Israeli Lobby role as the main cause of America getting into the war in Iraq and also leading America into a war with Iran confirms this. We have been told who did 911, the worst domestic attack on U.S. soil, and also blocked from doing any reasonable investigation to find the true culprits from the available evidence. We have been told that there is proof but after more than 4 years none have been shown to the American public. Even the FBI has openly admitted that there is not a shred of evidence that was found to link the 911 attacks to Al-Qaeda. Some point to the Osama Bin Laden videos as evidence. But these have been proven to be fakes by German scientists and others but were never reported by our mainstream media. I guess if smoke signals were a means of communication for us today somehow they would have found the right smoke signals to implicate Bin Laden. Afterall it was the Israelis who identified him for us and that is why the media was so quick to repeat the blame.

It is as if Americans don’t know anything about frame-ups even though Israel has been guilty of framing Arabs on numerous occasions for actions they commit. Not only guilty, but Israelis have been caught numerous times conducting false flag operations to blame Muslims. Even with Israelis also admitting that they manipulated Americans and Brits to attack Iraq with false intelligence, the average American still remains blind. We are indeed in a very dark period of American history. This is a very sorry state of affairs for us. What is worse is the death and misery our nation has unleashed on millions of innocent Muslims as a result of being manipulated by Israel. Is it any wonder that Jews think so little about the intelligence of gentiles?

Iran is on the agenda next. Are we going to be so foolish to be manipulated AGAIN?

Mumbai terror attack planned 6 months ago

An arrested terrorist has revealed that the Mumbai terror attack operation was planned about six months ago.

Investigators are examining satellite phone and GPS found on trawler seized in Arabian Sea.

Sources have told NDTV that data from GPS revealed terrorists sailed from Karachi harbour on November 12 or 13. Their phone was used to call Lashkar commander Yusuf Muzamil in Muzaffarabad.

The group of terrorists stayed in Karachi for about four days. The mobile phone found on a dead terrorist was used to make calls to Pakistan.

On November 18, Coast Guard had warned of possibility of infiltration by sea route.

Dogs of War: A contractor’s tale

By DAVID ISENBERG

WASHINGTON, Nov. 28 (UPI) — A recent article in Parameters, the quarterly academic journal of the U.S. Army War College, confirms the military’s critical dependence on private contractors.

What much of the debate over the use of contractors overlooks is that their presence on American battlefields is not the result of the greed of a bunch of opportunistic entrepreneurs and shady corporations. Instead, it is the result of deliberate decisions made decades ago.

The article, by retired Marine Corps Col. Mark Cancian, finds that most jobs performed by contractors on the battlefield are unobjectionable and should not be done by military personnel. He states what most informed observers of the industry have long known: following the Cold War, the services, especially the active-duty Army, were structured with an emphasis on combat units at the expense of support units. “As a result,” he writes, “there is a large and enduring shortage of support units. The use of contractors on the battlefield is no longer an optional or marginal activity.”

Cancian is correct, but it is worth remembering that it wasn’t supposed to be this way.

In the aftermath of the Vietnam War the U.S. military shifted to an all-volunteer force. Military leaders set up a series of organization “trip wires” to preserve the tie between the nation’s foreign policy decisions and American communities. Led by Army Chief of Staff Gen. Creighton Abrams, they wanted to ensure that the military would not go to war without the sufficient backing and involvement of the nation. But this “Abrams Doctrine” has since been outsourced.

What happened? During the Cold War the Army planned to use all of its combat forces in the event of a conflict with the Warsaw Pact. Force planners also were required to provide a full complement of support units for these combat units.

In the post-Cold War era, instead of a global war against another superpower and its allies, strategic planning called for the U.S. military to prepare for two nearly simultaneous regional conflicts, such as Korea and Iraq. Such planning envisioned the same kind of high-intensity conventional conflict that typified the Cold War, albeit short, violent and limited, and fought with smaller forces. Thus, the Army radically changed its force structure to adapt to this new strategic environment.

As the Army shrank its force structure it changed the way it employed combat forces. Planners foresaw employing only eight to 10 divisions. That strategy justified the active-duty divisions but left National Guard combat units searching for a mission. The compressed timelines envisioned for these conflicts made employment of reserve combat units unlikely. It was simply not possible to mobilize, train up and deploy on the envisioned timeline.

Planning for support forces reflected this strategy. All active divisions needed a full set of support, from active or reserve support units. The enhanced Guard brigades required some support but not a full set because they were to be deployed in secondary roles. Guard divisions required no support.

This meant that support forces could be substantially reduced. In reality, even this lower goal was not met and the Army accepted “risk” in its support force. Internal Army analyses showed a shortfall of more than 60,000 soldiers.

Furthermore, the Iraq insurgency turned out to require the continuous employment of large combat forces. At first active-duty combat forces were able to handle the initial combat phase and even the first rotation of troops out and into theater. But then active-duty combat forces needed a rest. Reserve combat forces were then placed into the rotation. As the conflict wore on, essentially every National Guard combat unit was deployed to some theater — Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia or Kosovo. A major problem then arose: Planners had not provided sufficient support forces to sustain all the combat organizations. The National Guard combat units had not been expected to need this level of support.

The solution was contractors. They would fill the huge gap between the support force that was needed and the military support forces that were available.

According to Cancian, things will not change in the future. The Army is currently expanding from 482,400 to 547,400 soldiers. This expansion could have reduced dependence on contractors if the additional personnel were channeled into support units. But it has not. Although some of the additional manpower is being integrated into support units, the majority is going to combat units.

The purpose is clear: reduce stress on personnel by increasing the number of units in the rotation base. Army leaders have repeatedly cited the need to lengthen the time units spend in the continental United States. In all their testimony related to expanding the force, Army leaders have never expressed a desire to reduce dependence on contractors.

In fact, if Cancian is right, all future U.S. military operations are explicitly based on the utilization of contractors.

“The Army is developing a strategy based on a future of ‘persistent conflict’ where every combat unit, active and reserve, deploys on a regular basis,” he writes. “Indeed, the Army’s planned force structure does not make strategic sense without the implicit expectation of continuous deployments. As a result, the Army will continue to depend on contractors in support of deployed forces.”

Yet for all the military’s dependence on contractors, their role continues to be minimized and discounted. Another article in Parameters by George Washington University Law Professor Steven Schooner notes that the true U.S. death toll in Iraq and Afghanistan recently reached the 6,000 threshold. But that is not what the media are reporting, and as a result the public remains generally unaware.

“On the modern, outsourced battlefield, contractors are sustaining injuries and fatalities in increasing numbers,” writes Schooner. “Specifically, the losses chronicled in The Washington Post’s ongoing ‘Faces of the Fallen’ series fail to recognize the little-known fact that, as of 30 June 2008, more than 1,350 civilian contractor personnel had died in Iraq and Afghanistan in support of U.S. military and political operations. Another 29,000 contractors have been injured; more than 8,300 seriously. Yet contractor fatalities (and injuries) remain generally outside the public’s consciousness.”

SPY agencies around the world had little warning of the terrorist attack in Mumbai, which bore some al-Qaeda hallmarks but appears unlikely to be linked to the group’s core leadership.

Westerners in India’s financial centre were targeted in the spectacular attack comprised of multiple simultaneous assaults — a signature of past al-Qaeda actions, including the September 11, 2001, attacks.

But the Indian attack was carried out by gunmen, not the suicide bombers frequently employed by al-Qaeda and its affiliates.

“We have been actively monitoring plots in Britain and abroad and there was nothing to indicate something like this was about to happen,” a British security official said.

Western security experts believe attacks organised, directed and funded specifically by al-Qaeda’s core leadership along the Afghan-Pakistan border are not frequent.

More common are incidents in which terrorists have either some limited contact with al-Qaeda leaders or are inspired to carry out attacks by the ideology of Islamic extremism.

British Foreign Secretary David Miliband told reporters it was “premature to talk about links to al-Qaeda” and that the intended targets still had not been identified.

“This is only the latest in a series of attacks in India over the last year or two,” he said, adding: “Terrorism is not just a war against the West.”

A US counterterrorism official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Lashkar-i-Taiba (Army of the Pure) and Jaish-i-Mohammed (Army of Mohammed) are what “people are starting to look at. But I can’t caution enough to treat it as a theory, a working assumption.

“What the Indians have in their favour is that they’ve got some of these guys. It seems logical that they can expect to work their way back reasonably quickly.”

Indian officials said several gunmen were captured.

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh blamed “external forces” and the Indian navy said its forces were boarding a cargo vessel suspected of ties to the attacks. Navy spokesman Captain Manohar Nambiar said on Thursday that the ship, the MV Alpha, had recently come to Mumbai from Karachi, Pakistan.

Pakistan’s Port and Shipping Minister, Nabil Gabol, said Indian authorities had not asked him for information about what he called a “false allegation”.

“They should not drag Pakistan into this just to overcome their own political problems,” he said.

Major-General R. K. Hooda, the leader of the operation to flush out the militants, said that they had pretended to come from Hyderabad, in central India, but they had captured one man who spoke with a Punjabi accent and appeared to be from Pakistan.

Lashkar-i-Taiba is based in Lahore, in Pakistan’s Punjab province, and was supported by the Pakistan Government’s Inter-Services Intelligence agency during the 1990s.

It nearly sparked a war between India and Pakistan when it attacked the Indian parliament in 2001, along with Jaish-i-Mohammed.

Few terrorism experts have heard of the Deccan Mujahideen, who have claimed responsibility for the attacks.

“Initially, we saw violence in India imported from outside — with allegations of Pakistani Government support — but now we are seeing new, home-grown groups,” said Nigel Inkster, director of Transnational Threats at the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London.

“There is a possible link to al-Qaeda,” he said. “Logically, it would be easier for al-Qaeda to get things done in India than in the US and Europe. Everyone’s been expecting some type of pre-US election or post-US election spectacular, and there is some speculation that this is it.”

Whoever was responsible, their demands have been vague.

A militant inside the Oberoi Hotel told Indian television by telephone: “Release all mujahideen, and Muslims living in India should not be troubled.”

Another, inside the Jewish Chabad-Lubavitch centre, who called himself Imran, phoned an Indian television station to say: “Ask the Government to talk to us and we will release the hostages. Are you aware how many people have been killed in Kashmir? Are you aware how your army has killed Muslims?” he said.

Who could have done it?

DECCAN MUJAHIDEEN

Six hours after the attack, Indian media received an email from this unknown group, claiming responsibility. Experts are sceptical. An Indian news channel reported that the email’s sender was traced to Russia.

INDIAN MUJAHIDEEN

In May, the organisation, headed by Abdul Subhan Qureshi, known as “India’s bin Laden” threatened to attack tourist sites unless the Indian Government withdrew its support for America. It has claimed responsibility for bombings in Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Delhi since July. But analysts believe it does not have the resources to have conducted the Mumbai operation alone.

CRIME SYNDICATES

Mumbai’s most notorious crime boss, Dawood Ibrahim, was accused of masterminding the March 1993 blasts in Mumbai. At that time he lived in Dubai but later moved to Karachi. Indian intelligence alleges he is holed up in the tribal areas of Pakistan.

PAKISTANI TERROR GROUPS

Al-Qaeda-linked Lashkar-e-Taiba has been active in fighting Indian security forces in Kashmir since 1993. In the past, the group was alleged to have close links with Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence agency. But from what is known, few believe Pakistan played a role in the Mumbai attacks.

Piracy in the Red Sea: Saudi points towards Israel

Columnists fear that a plan is underway for ‘internationalization’ of security in the Red Sea.
By Habib Trabelsi – PARIS

Not only do columnists and analysts openly accuse Israel of sponsoring acts of piracy that multiply off Somali waters, but they also do not hide their fears of an internationalization of security in the Red Sea, where Israel plays a decisive role.

“What is happening in the Horn of Africa is not a simple case of piracy. These acts of piracy raise various questions about the capabilities and equipment of simple outlaws who are seeking ransoms,” wrote Tuesday (November 25) Nawaf Al-Meshal Sabhan in the Saudi daily Al-Iqtissadia.

“These acts triggered statements on the internationalization of the Red Sea, in which the enemy state of Israel would be a crucial element,” he adds.

“Who has got an interest in such an internationalization?” Asks the analyst, echoing “another disturbing development represented by the decision of a shipping company (AP Moller-Maersk, the world’s largest container ship operator and supply vessel operator) to divert its huge merchant fleet from Suez Canal and take the route via the Cape of Good Hope.”

“Who has got an interest in putting pressure on Egypt, by diverting cargo ships of Suez Canal and by making Egypt lose daily income of over $15 million?” the analysts asks again.

“Who is behind acts of piracy?” Was the headline of the daily Al-Riyadh’s editorialist Dr. Hashem Abdou Hashem.

“These repeated acts of piracy are premeditated. They are sponsored by a State or organization, in any case by a party seeking to create tension, concern and instability in the Red Sea in order to achieve strategic interests,” he wrote.

According to him, “this party seeks to convince the international community to monitor the sea on the pretext of ensuring the safety of navigation, ensuring energy supplies and preventing supplies of arms to troublemakers in the region,” referring particularly to the Islamist militia “Shebab” who control much of Somalia.

Red Sea: “the lung of Arabia”

More explicitly, Jalal Aref wrote Monday in al-Youm that Arab countries bordering the Red Sea “are now faced with four dangers: The internationalization of security in the Red Sea with the pretext of fighting piracy, Israel’s covetousness of seeking to play a key role in the Red Sea, the theft of Arab oil through piracy, without counting the blow to navigation in the Suez Canal.”

The daily Al-Iqtissadiya asked in its editorial Monday “how hackers may have means of air defense, missiles guided by satellites, computers and advanced navigation equipment.”

“This means that some countries close an eye on these acts of piracy for strategic, political and economic reasons,” added the newspaper, pointing out that “the Red Sea is the only waterway in the world where residents are Arab dominant … and it must remain so.”

Amin Sa’ati, a Saudi expert, demonstrated in a long article published the same newspaper that “the security of Saudi Arabia and the Red Sea are inseparable (…) since 30% of global crude, including the one of Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states, pass through the Red Sea, the bulk of our desalinated water resources comes from the Red Sea, and our imports and exports pass largely through the Red Sea. ”

“The Red Sea is our lung (…). The kingdom must convene a meeting of countries bordering the sea to develop a mechanism for strategic cooperation. But it seems that foreign forces do not want stability in the region. Israel remains the main obstacle to such cooperation,” added the expert.

Besides Saudi Arabia, eight other countries bordering the Red Sea are: Yemen, Egypt, Jordan, Sudan, Djibouti, Eritrea, Somalia and Israel.

Yemen: mobilize Arabs

Last October, Yemeni President Ali Abdallah Saleh called on Arab countries bordering the Red Sea to “assume their responsibility” to remove any pretext for an internationalization of security in the sea.

His appeal came shortly after a decision by NATO to strengthen its military presence in the Indian Ocean against piracy off Somalia, in coordination with the European Union (EU).

Saleh went to Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia for that matter. His foreign minister, Abu Bakr al-Korbi, had claimed that Riyadh was “conducive to cooperation among Arab countries bordering the Red Sea to ensure the security of the sea.”

Speaking on November 20 in Cairo at a meeting of Arab officials bordering the Red Sea, Korbi said that the multinational naval presence in the southern part of the Red Sea was “a danger to Arab national security.”

Since the diversion of Saudi supertanker, the “Star Sirius” on November 15 by pirates off Somali waters, the Saudi press has been publishing echoes of several Arab journalists and analysts, including Egyptians, who warn against “Israel’s aims for playing a key role in the Red Sea” and against “a US-European control of this strategic sea.”

Israel in Islamists’ line of fire

Israel is also condemned by Islamists on Internet sites which are full of inflammatory articles, including one written by the former Secretary General of Kuwaiti Salafist Movement, Sheikh Hamed Al Ali.

“The aims of the Zionist enemy in the Red Sea have never ceased,” wrote the Islamist cleric on his website, illustrating his long article with a quote by a former commander of the Israeli navy regarding “a diabolical plan” which aims to “transform the Red Sea into a Jewish lake.”

Sheikh al-Ali also lists examples of “the Zionist military engagement in Ethiopia,” particularly “sophisticated aircraft-radars and 60 military Zionists experts.”

That is why Sheikh al-Ali called the mujahideen in Somalia “to eliminate pirates whose irresponsible acts will be exploited by western hackers to the benefit of the diabolical Zionist plan and to abort the Islamic project in Somalia.”

The Shebab, who called piracy an offence to Islam, threatened to attack the pirates if they will not release the “Star Sirius.”

Mumbai, or how to get rid of the Islamic Bomb

Mumbai, or how to get rid of the Islamic Bomb

horns

It’s all coming together. When the Bush administration – just on time before the election – pushed through the nuclear proliferation deal with India, a lot of people questioned its sanity. Why would you supply critical nuclear technology to a country that had several wars with its neighbour Pakistan? The only thing that stopped both countries so far from letting loose their nuclear arsenals on each other has been the fear of mutually assured destruction. Isn’t it obvious that providing India with the latest nuclear technology will give the country the edge over its neighbour, adding to the instability in the region and increasing the risk of a nuclear confrontation?

The reason for this insanity is that America is no longer comfortable with the ‘Islamic bomb’, the nuclear weaponry owned by Pakistan. Or to be more precise, Israel and its lobby were able to convince the US to take steps to disarm Pakistan. The plan they came up with was the same they used when the Afghani Taliban asked for too big a share of the heroin cake in return for ensuring an undisturbed opium production. Linking them to a terrorist attack the Americans had committed themselves. It’s standard operating procedure. After the successful test run in Oklahoma, that convinced America’s ruling crime families that they sufficiently control the media to get away with anything, they pulled off 9/11 to have an excuse for their various neocolonial wars and NWO legislations. They bombed Bali to give Canberra sufficient public support for the Australian participation in the War for Drugs and the War for Oil for Israel. They bombed the London Tube and the Madrid trains for the same reason. They were going to do the same thing in Germany too, to give former StaSi now Mossad spy Angela Merkel more leverage, but there was too much resistance within the German intelligence community and they had to call it off.

If you wonder how much evil a human being can do – or allow to happen – before being stopped by his own conscience, let me assure you that’s not how it works. Our ruling elites and their shills – whether they are Catholic, Protestant, Jewish or Agnostic makes no difference – are strongly influenced by ancient Kabbalistic and Masonic mysticism. They hope to grow their power and wealth, or find redemption by committing as much evil as they can get away with. Quite a few of them secretly engage in full-blown Satanism, aiming to bring about the triumph of Satan over God through the rampant use of Satanic symbols and by doing extreme evil. This is why Churchill and Roosevelt murdered millions of innocent German and Japanese civilians and defenseless prisoners of wars. This is why the Americans are murdering millions of Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan. This is why they are poisoning not only Iraqi civilians but their own troops with the rampant use of depleted uranium coated ammunition.

Anyone who is hoping for Obama to stop this nonsense must be severely delusional. Obama made it perfectly clear, on a number of occasions, that he is willing to engage the US in an armed confrontation with Pakistan. He wouldn’t be where he is unless he had promised to go to war with Pakistan.

Republican and Democrats are just two sets of puppets controlled by the same players. Oklahoma wasn’t planned by Bill Clinton, but by George Bush. 9/11 wasn’t planned by George Bush, but by Bill Clinton. And the destruction and disarming of Pakistan – although minutely planned and put into motion under George W. Bush – will be completed by Obama, unless America comes to its senses. Why else would Obama keep Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates?

As in New York, London and Madrid the dirty work of the terrorist attack was done by Mossad, the world’s most experienced assassins. They own the building from which the snipers operated and they bombed train stations before, most notably in London and Madrid. Most incriminating though is that, just like in all the previous false-flag attacks, no Jews were injured or killed. It’s okay for a Jew to kill hundreds and thousands of Gentiles, according to the Talmud even his duty, but the blood of a Jews is too valuable, unless he has made the rabbis upset.

The Indian government obviously isn’t innocent. The attacks are on such a scale, that they couldn’t have possibly be performed without the knowledge of the local authorities. Only time will tell whether Delhi can get away with it. They must hope that Hindu hatred for Muslims sits so deep and compassion for their own is so scarce, that they don’t mind.

Unconcerned about arrest by the police or prosecution by the Israeli justice system, fanatical Jewish settlers in the Palestinian town of Hebron (Al-Khalil) have been attacking Palestinians, damaging and ransacking their property, exactly like Nazi thugs did to Jewish-owned property in Germany 80 years ago.

The settlers, who claim to be acting in the name of true Judaism, espouse a messianic doctrine advocating violence and terror against non- Jews in Israel-Palestine for the purpose of creating a pure Jewish kingdom that would be ruled by Halacha, or Jewish religious law.

The settlers, who represent the core of religious Zionism, believe that the ethnic cleansing of non-Jews in the Holy Land will eventually usher the messianic age and accelerate the appearance of the Jewish Messiah, or Redeemer, who would bring about redemption for Jews and rule the entire world from Jerusalem.

In recent weeks, these thugs have been attacking Palestinian homes, smashing cars, vandalising property and fostering a general atmosphere of fear and terror throughout this town of nearly 200,000 people.

Al-Ahram Weekly has inspected the damage inflicted by settlers and spoken with thoroughly terrorised victims who complained that the Israeli authorities and army were effectively giving the paramilitary terrorists a carte blanche to terrorise Palestinians. “They [the settlers] are Nazi, and if there was a stronger epithet, I would not hesitate to use. You can’t imagine the ugliness and brutality of their behaviour,” said Ahmed Al-Jamal, a frequent target of settler terror and vandalism.

“Every Friday night and Saturday, dozens of settlers, including kids, descend on our neighbourhood to smash our cars, windows and property and shout ‘Death to the Arabs!’ This is their way of sanctifying the Sabbath and pleasing God.”

Al-Jamal said dozens of settlers, some of them masked, last week attacked his and his brother’s and neighbour’s homes around 2.30am, smashing windows and windshields of parked cars. “We informed the police, and the police told us they would look into the matter. This is pretty much what they have been telling us since 1970 when these ‘Nazis’ came to live here.”

Mohamed Daana, who lives in Wadi Al-Nasara, located just south of the Jewish colony of Kiryat Araba, said he submitted at least 500 complaints to the Israeli police in a desperate effort to put an end to settler violence and terror against him and his family.

“The last time I went to submit a police complaint in Kiryat Araba one policeman took me to the next room and told me ‘I want to advise you, there is no point in submitting all these complaints. We simply can’t do anything to help you. The settlers control the state and the army can do little to protect you from them.’” Asked what he would do next to protect his family, Daana said, “I have no choice but to remain steadfast. A harmful neighbour will either die or move away,” said Daana quoting an old Arabic proverb.

Last week, dozens of young settlers, many of them wearing masks and armed with submachine guns, rampaged through the Khaled Ibn Al-Walid neighbourhood, not far from the colony of Kiryat Araba. There the settlers, who reportedly were dressed in religious attire, vandalised a Muslim cemetery and scrawled the Star of David on Muslim graves.

On the walls of the Khaled Ibn Al-Walid Mosque, the rampaging thugs scrawled the following phrase: “Mohamed is a pig.” This is the new slogan the settlers are mouthing to offend and provoke the Palestinians. The other slogan is Mavet le Arabim or “Death to the Arabs!”

These obscenities are infuriating the Palestinians who warned that settlers were trying to instigate a religious war in the Middle East. “What does the Prophet Mohamed have to do with the conflict? Why are they deliberately provoking us? We have never, and never will speak ill of their prophets and religious figures,” said Hassan Jaber, a neighbour of the mosque.

“When someone touches a Jewish cemetery anywhere in the world, the Jews make a big outcry about anti-Semitism. But when Jews commit blasphemous acts against Islam and Christianity, it is freedom of speech.”

This is not the first time self-righteous settlers, who claim to be following the Torah, seek to offend Muslim religious sensibilities. According to local Palestinians, settlers have markedly escalated their anti-Islam discourse, mainly by way of scrawling sacrilegious epithets that are deeply offensive to the Islamic faith, such as cursing the Arabic name of God (Allah) and the Prophet Mohamed. Several years ago, a Jewish immigrant from the former Soviet Union pasted on the doors of Arab stalls and shops in downtown Hebron drawings depicting the prophet of Islam as a pig writing the Quran.

Such sacrilegious acts generally go unpunished by the Israeli government, allowing the settlers and their supporters to feel powerful and immune from government action.

The bulk of Jewish settlers in the occupied Palestinian territories follow the teachings of Abraham Kook, the first rabbi of Israel, who taught that Jews should seek to expedite the appearance of the “redeemer” or Jewish Messiah by way of carrying out acts of violence and bloodshed. In 1994, a Jewish settler terrorist, an American immigrant by the name of Baruch Goldstein, murdered at least 29 Arab worshipers who as they were praying at the Ibrahimi Mosque.

Goldstein, who was eventually killed by survivors, became a national hero among religious Zionists and Jewish extremists in general, and his tomb in Kiryat Araba became a pilgrimage site for religious Zionists from around the world. The settlers adopt a manifestly genocidal ideology with regard to how non-Jews living in Israel ought to be treated.

This ideology, which settlers say is based on the Talmud and is taught at the Mirkaz Harav religious Zionist college in Jerusalem, and gives Palestinians in Israel-Palestine three choices: first, comprehensive enslavement whereby non- Jews, or goyem, would have to accept their inferior status, second, outright expulsion, “lest they remain a thorn in your side,” and third, Old Testament-style physical extermination.

The settler community in Hebron is not large in terms of numbers. According to Israeli government statistics, no more than 500-600 settlers and Yeshiva (religious school) students live in the old quarter of Hebron among the town’s 180,000–200,000 Palestinian inhabitants. However, thousands of Israeli soldiers and paramilitary troops guard and protect the settlers around the clock, with the chief method of protection taking the form of making large parts of the town off-limit to Palestinians. In other words, 200,000 are held hostage to the whims of 500- 600 thugs who demand that non-Jews be enslaved, expelled or exterminated.

Needless to say, this causes immense hardship to Palestinian inhabitants whose freedom of movement and economic activities are harshly restricted. In some cases, a Palestinian living, say, in the vicinity of the Ibrahimi Mosque, is forced to travel several miles in order to get home from a nearby school or grocery store. The reason for such draconian restrictions is to make ordinary life so unbearable for ordinary Palestinians that they would leave their homes “voluntarily” so that the settlers could then seize them without the need of murdering the inhabitants.

As usual, the Israeli government continues to treat the settlers with the greatest temerity, refusing to take decisive action to stop their almost daily acts of violent and terror against Palestinians.

There are three main reasons contributing to the soft-glove policy towards the settlers. First, many of the soldiers serving in the occupied territories, particularly in the Hebron region, are themselves settlers and reluctant to arrest their colleagues. After all, the soldiers and settlers often have the same rabbi and attend the same Yeshiva, and worship at the same synagogue. Moreover, soldiers who are also settlers are effectively answerable first and foremost to their local rabbis, and only secondarily to their army superior. Second, the Israeli state itself views the settlers as a strategic asset that will prevent the creation of a viable Palestinian state, guaranteeing the continuity of Israeli control over the West Bank. This is despite all official propaganda that Jewish settler violence is carried out in spite of the government. Third, the proximity of the upcoming Israeli elections, slated to take place on 10 February, makes the government, especially Defence Minister Ehud Barak (head of the Labour Party) think twice before alienating the settlers, even by carrying out High Court rulings.

Last week, the Israeli High Court ordered the state to vacate Jewish settlers from an Arab building they had seized after forging ownership documents. However, the settlers and their supporters, including 48 Knesset members (out of 120) and former ministers, vowed to confront the army and police “be it as it may”. Moreover, the settlers were planing to hold a large rally in Hebron to protest against the court decision and to underscore their determination to have their way.

Israeli President Shimon Peres, the godfather of Jewish settlements in the West Bank who is falsely portrayed as a man of peace, was quoted as saying during a visit to London last week that “Israel will find it difficult to evacuate the settlements without civil war.” Yossi Sarid, a former minister, spoke of “a state within a state that has arisen in the territories.”

Writing in Haaretz on 21 November, Sarid wrote, “a new custom has come to the country: High Court rulings are one thing, reality is another. One has not the slightest thing to do with the other. The settlements and the outposts are planted firmly in place and refuse to be uprooted; private land of Palestinians is being freely stolen; whole neighbourhoods born in sin are being populated; homes that have been stolen are filled with people; a brazen fence stands according to its original, arbitrary plan with only minimal changes.”

Sarid’s remarks may even be an understatement of reality.

One noted Israeli journalist intimated to this writer last week that Israel was facing two nightmarish scenarios in light of the settlers’ determined refusal to leave the West Bank: “We have two alternatives, either we go into civil war or become a fascist or Nazi state. These two choices are becoming starker with the passage of each day.”

Divide and Conquer: The Anglo-American Imperial Project

Establishing an “Arc of Crisis”

Many would be skeptical that the Anglo-Americans would be behind terrorist acts in Iraq, such as with the British in Basra, when two British SAS soldiers were caught dressed as Arabs, with explosives and massive arsenal of weapons.[1] Why would the British be complicit in orchestrating terror in the very city in which they are to provide security? What would be the purpose behind this? That question leads us to an even more important question to ask, the question of why Iraq was occupied; what is the purpose of the war on Iraq? If the answer is, as we are often told with our daily dose of CNN, SkyNews and the statements of public officials, to spread democracy and freedom and rid the world of tyranny and terror, then it doesn’t make sense that the British or Americans would orchestrate terror.

However, if the answer to the question of why the Anglo-American invasion of Iraq occurred was not to spread democracy and freedom, but to spread fear and chaos, plunge the country into civil war, balkanize Iraq into several countries, and create an “arc of crisis” across the Middle East, enveloping neighboring countries, notably Iran, then terror is a very efficient and effective means to an end.

An Imperial Strategy

In 1982, Oded Yinon, an Israeli journalist with links to the Israeli Foreign Ministry wrote an article for a publication of the World Zionist Organization in which he outlined a “strategy for Israel in the 1980s.” In this article, he stated, “The dissolution of Syria and Iraq into ethnically or religiously unique areas such as in Lebanon is Israel’s primary target on the Eastern front. Iraq, rich in oil on the one hand and internally torn on the other is guaranteed as a candidate for Israel’s targets. Its dissolution is even more important for us than that of Syria. Iraq is stronger than Syria. In the short run, it is Iraqi power which constitutes the greatest threat to Israel.” He continued, “An Iraqi-Iranian war will tear Iraq apart and cause its downfall at home even before it is able to organize a struggle on a wide front against us. Every kind of inter-Arab confrontation will assist us in the short run and will shorten the way to the more important aim of breaking up Iraq into denominations as in Syria and Lebanon.” He continues, “In Iraq, a division into provinces along ethnic/religious lines as in Syria during Ottoman times is possible. So, three (or more) states will exist around the three major cities: Basra, Baghdad and Mosul and Shiite areas in the South will separate from the Sunni and Kurdish north.”[2]

The Iran-Iraq War, which lasted until 1988, did not result in Oded Yinon’s desired break-up of Iraq into ethnically based provinces. Nor did the subsequent Gulf War of 1991 in which the US destroyed Iraq’s infrastructure, as well as the following decade-plus of devastating sanctions and aerial bombardments by the Clinton administration. What did occur during these decades, however, were the deaths of millions of Iraqis and Iranians.

A Clean Break for a New American Century

In 1996, an Israeli think tank, the Institute for Advanced Strategic and Political Studies, issued a report under the think tank’s Study Group on a New Israeli Strategy Toward 2000, entitled, “A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm.” In this paper, which laid out recommendations for Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, they state that Israel can, “Work closely with Turkey and Jordan to contain, destabilize, and roll-back some of its most dangerous threats,” as well as, “Change the nature of its relations with the Palestinians, including upholding the right of hot pursuit for self defense into all Palestinian areas,” and to, “Forge a new basis for relations with the United States—stressing self-reliance, maturity, strategic cooperation on areas of mutual concern, and furthering values inherent to the West.”

The report recommended Israel to seize “the strategic initiative along its northern borders by engaging Hizballah, Syria, and Iran, as the principal agents of aggression in Lebanon,” and to use “Lebanese opposition elements to destabilize Syrian control of Lebanon.” It also states, “Israel can shape its strategic environment, in cooperation with Turkey and Jordan, by weakening, containing, and even rolling back Syria. This effort can focus on removing Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq — an important Israeli strategic objective in its own right — as a means of foiling Syria’s regional ambitions.”[3]

The authors of the report include Douglas Feith, an ardent neoconservative who went on to become George W. Bush’s Under Secretary of Defense for Policy from 2001 to 2005; David Wurmser, who was appointed by Douglas Feith after 9/11 to be part of a secret Pentagon intelligence unit and served as a Mideast Adviser to Dick Cheney from 2003 to 2007; and Meyrav Wurmser, David’s wife, who is now an official with the American think tank, the Hudson Institute.

Richard Perle headed the study, and worked on the Pentagon’s Defense Policy Board Advisory Committee from 1987 to 2004, and was Chairman of the Board from 2001 to 2004, where he played a key role in the lead-up to the Iraq war. He was also a member of several US think tanks, including the American Enterprise Institute and the Project for the New American Century.

The Project for the New American Century, or PNAC, is an American neoconservative think tank, whose membership and affiliations included many people who were associated with the present Bush administration, such as Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Paul Wolfowitz, John Bolton, Richard Armitage, Jeb Bush, Elliott Abrams, Eliot A. Cohen, Paula Dobriansky, Francis Fukuyama, Zalmay Khalilzad, I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby, Peter Rodman, Dov Zakheim and Robert B. Zoellick.

PNAC produced a report in September of 2000, entitled, “Rebuilding America’s Defenses: Strategy, Forces and Resources for a New Century,” in which they outlined a blueprint for a Pax Americana, or American Empire. The report puts much focus on Iraq and Iran, stating, “Over the long term, Iran may well prove as large a threat to US interests in the Gulf as Iraq has.”[4] Stating that, “the United States has for decades sought to play a more permanent role in Gulf regional security,” the report suggests that, “the unresolved conflict with Iraq provides the immediate justification,” however, “the need for a substantial American force presence in the Gulf transcends the issue of the regime change of Saddam Hussein.”[5]

Engineer a Civil War for the “Three State Solution”

Shortly after the initial 2003 invasion and occupation of Iraq, the New York Times ran an op-ed piece by Leslie Gelb, President Emeritus and Board Member of the US-based Council on Foreign Relations, the most influential and powerful think tank in the United States. The op-ed, titled, “The Three State Solution,” published in November of 2003, stated that the “only viable strategy” for Iraq, “may be to correct the historical defect and move in stages toward a three-state solution: Kurds in the north, Sunnis in the center and Shiites in the south.” Citing the example of the break up of Yugoslavia, Gelb stated that the Americans and Europeans “gave the Bosnian Muslims and Croats the means to fight back, and the Serbs accepted separation.” Explaining the strategy, Gelb states that, “The first step would be to make the north and south into self-governing regions, with boundaries drawn as closely as possible along ethnic lines,” and to “require democratic elections within each region.” Further, “at the same time, draw down American troops in the Sunni Triangle and ask the United Nations to oversee the transition to self-government there.” Gelb then states that this policy “would be both difficult and dangerous. Washington would have to be very hard-headed, and hard-hearted, to engineer this breakup.”[6]

Following the example of Yugoslavia, as Gelb cited, would require an engineered civil war between the various ethnic groups. The US supported and funded Muslim forces in Bosnia in the early 1990s, under the leadership of the CIA-trained Afghan Mujahideen, infamous for their CIA-directed war against the Soviet Union from 1979-1989. In Bosnia, the Mujahideen were “accompanied by US Special Forces,” and Bill Clinton personally approved of collaboration with “several Islamic fundamentalist organisations including Osama bin Laden’s al Qaeda.” In Kosovo, years later, “Mujahideen mercenaries from the Middle East and Central Asia were recruited to fight in the ranks of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) in 1998-99, largely supporting NATO’s war effort.” The US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), the British Secret Intelligence Services (MI6), British SAS soldiers and American and British private security companies had the job of arming and training the KLA. Further, “The U.S. State Department listed the KLA as a terrorist organization, indicating that it was financing its operations with money from the international heroin trade and loans from Islamic countries and individuals, among them allegedly Usama bin Laden,” and as well as that, “the brother of a leader in an Egyptian Jihad organization and also a military commander of Usama bin Laden, was leading an elite KLA unit during the Kosovo conflict.”[7]

Could this be the same strategy being deployed in Iraq in order to break up the country for similar geopolitical reasons?

The Asia Times Online reported in 2005, that the plan of “balkanizing” Iraq into several smaller states, “is an exact replica of an extreme right-wing Israeli plan to balkanize Iraq – an essential part of the balkanization of the whole Middle East. Curiously, Henry Kissinger was selling the same idea even before the 2003 invasion of Iraq.” It continued, “this is classic divide and rule: the objective is the perpetuation of Arab disunity. Call it Iraqification; what it actually means is sectarian fever translated into civil war.”[8]

In 2006, an “independent commission set up by Congress with the approval of President George W Bush,” termed the “Baker Commission” after former Secretary of State, James Baker, “has grown increasingly interested in the idea of splitting the Shi’ite, Sunni and Kurdish regions of Iraq as the only alternative to what Baker calls ‘cutting and running’ or ‘staying the course’.”[9]

It was also reported in 2006 that, “Iraq’s federal future is already enshrined within its constitution, allowing regions to form, if not actually prescribing how this should happen,” and that, “the Iraqi parliament (dominated by Shi’a and Kurds) passed a bill earlier this month [October, 2006] allowing federal regions to form (by majority vote in the provinces seeking merger).” Further, “The law, which unsurprisingly failed to win Sunni support, will be reviewed over the next 18 months in a bid to bring its opponents round.” The article, however, stated that instead of a three state solution, “a system based upon five regions would seem to have more chance of succeeding. A five-region model could see two regions in the south, one based around Basra and one around the holy cities. Kurdistan and the Sunni region would remain, but Baghdad and its environs would form a fifth, metropolitan, region.”[10] The author of the article was Gareth Stansfield, an Associate Fellow at Chatham House think tank in London, which preceded, works with and is the British equivalent of the Council on Foreign Relations.

“Ethnic Cleansing Works”

In 2006, the Armed Forces Journal published an article by retired Lieutenant-Colonel Ralph Peters, titled, “Blood Borders: How a better Middle East would look.” In the article, Peters explains that the best plan for the Middle East would be to “readjust” the borders of the countries. “Accepting that international statecraft has never developed effective tools — short of war — for readjusting faulty borders, a mental effort to grasp the Middle East’s “organic” frontiers nonetheless helps us understand the extent of the difficulties we face and will continue to face. We are dealing with colossal, man-made deformities that will not stop generating hatred and violence until they are corrected.” He states that after the 2003 invasion, “Iraq should have been divided into three smaller states immediately.” However, Iraq is not the only country to fall victim to “Balkanization” in Peters’ eyes, as, “Saudi Arabia would suffer as great a dismantling as Pakistan,” and “Iran, a state with madcap boundaries, would lose a great deal of territory to Unified Azerbaijan, Free Kurdistan, the Arab Shia State and Free Baluchistan, but would gain the provinces around Herat in today’s Afghanistan.” Further, “What Afghanistan would lose to Persia in the west, it would gain in the east, as Pakistan’s Northwest Frontier tribes would be reunited with their Afghan brethren.” Peters states that “correcting borders” may be impossible, “For now. But given time — and the inevitable attendant bloodshed — new and natural borders will emerge. Babylon has fallen more than once.” He further makes the astonishing statement that, “Oh, and one other dirty little secret from 5,000 years of history: Ethnic cleansing works.”[11]

The map of the re-drawn Middle East, initially published alongside Peters’ article, but no longer present, “has been used in a training program at NATO’s Defense College for senior military officers. This map, as well as other similar maps, has most probably been used at the National War Academy as well as in military planning circles.”[12] Nafeez Mossadeq Ahmed wrote of Peters’ proposal, that “the sweeping reconfiguration of borders he proposes would necessarily involve massive ethnic cleansing and accompanying bloodshed on perhaps a genocidal scale.”[13]

Federalism or Incremental Balkanization?

A month before Peters’ article was published, Leslie Gelb of the Council on Foreign Relations, and Joseph Biden, a Democratic member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, wrote an op-ed for the New York Times, in which they stated, “America must get beyond the present false choice between “staying the course” and “bringing the troops home now” and choose a third way that would wind down our military presence responsibly while preventing chaos and preserving our key security goals.” What is this third option? “The idea, as in Bosnia, is to maintain a united Iraq by decentralizing it, giving each ethno-religious group—Kurd, Sunni Arab and Shiite Arab—room to run its own affairs, while leaving the central government in charge of common interests.”

They describe a few aspects of this plan. “The first is to establish three largely autonomous regions with a viable central government in Baghdad. The Kurdish, Sunni and Shiite regions would each be responsible for their own domestic laws, administration and internal security. The central government would control border defense, foreign affairs and oil revenues.” Then, “The second element would be to entice the Sunnis into joining the federal system with an offer they couldn’t refuse. To begin with, running their own region should be far preferable to the alternatives: being dominated by Kurds and Shiites in a central government or being the main victims of a civil war.”[14]

In testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in 2007, Leslie Gelb stated that his plan for “federalizing” Iraq, “would look like this: The central government would be based on the areas where there are genuine common interests among the different Iraqi parties. That is, foreign affairs, border defense, currency and, above all, oil and gas production and revenues.” And, “As for the regions, whether they be three or four or five, whatever it may be, it’s up to—all this is up to the Iraqis to decide, would be responsible for legislation, administration and internal security.”[15]

The Senate subsequently passed a nonbinding resolution supporting a federal system for Iraq, which has still yet to be enacted upon, because it stated that this resolution was something that had to be enacted upon by the Iraqis, so as not to be viewed as “something that the United States was going to force down their throats.” Further, “when Ambassador Ryan Crocker appeared before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, he testified in favor of federalism. In his private conversations with senators, he also supported the idea,” yet, while in Baghdad, the Ambassador “blasted the resolution.”[16] Could this be a method of manipulation? If the American Embassy in Baghdad promotes a particular solution for Iraq, it would likely be viewed by Iraqis as a bad choice and in the interest of the Americans. So, if the Ambassador publicly bashes the resolution from Iraq, which he did, it conveys the idea that the current administration is not behind it, which could make Iraqis see it as a viable alternative, and perhaps in their interests. For Iraqi politicians, embracing the American view on major issues is political (and often actual) suicide. The American Embassy in Baghdad publicly denouncing a particular strategy gives Iraqi politicians public legitimacy to pursue it.

This resolution has still not gone through all the processes in Congress, and may, in fact, have been slipped into another bill, such as a Defense Authorization Act. However, the efforts behind this bill are larger than the increasingly irrelevant US Congress.

Also in 2007, another think tank called for the managed “break-up of Iraq into three separate states with their own governments and representatives to the United Nations, but continued economic cooperation in a larger entity modeled on the European Union.”[17] In a startling admission by former US Ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton, stated in 2007 that the “United States has “no strategic interest” in a united Iraq,” and he also suggested “that the United States shouldn’t necessarily keep Iraq from splitting up.”[18]

Conclusion

Clearly, whatever the excuse, or whatever the means of dividing Iraq, it is without a doubt in the Anglo-American strategy for Iraq to balkanize the country. Saying that what is being proposed is not balkanization, but federalism, is a moot point. This is because reverting to a more federal system where provinces have greater autonomy would naturally separate the country along ethno-religious boundaries. The Kurds would be in the north, the Sunnis in the centre, and the Shi’ites in the south, with all the oil. The disproportionate provincial resources will create animosity between provinces, and the long-manipulated ethnic differences will spill from the streets into the political sphere. As tensions grow, as they undoubtedly would, between the provinces, there would be a natural slide to eventual separation. Disagreements over power sharing in the federal government would lead to its eventual collapse, and the strategy of balkanization would have been achieved with the appearance of no outside involvement.

Evidence Mumbai Attackers were Anglo-American Intel Operatives

Evidence Mumbai Attackers were Anglo-American

Intel Operatives

Kurt Nimmo
Infowars
November 27, 2008

As a BBC report notes, at least some of the Mumbai attackers were not Indian and certainly not Muslim.

Pappu Mishra, a cafe proprietor at the gothic Victorian Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station, described “two sprightly young men dressed in black” with AK47s who were “foreign looking, fair skinned.”

Gaffar Abdul Amir, an Iraqi tourist from Baghdad, saw at least two men who started the firing outside the Leopold Cafe. “They did not look Indian, they looked foreign. One of them, I thought, had blonde hair. The other had a punkish hairstyle. They were neatly dressed,” Amir told the BBC.

Other “men walked into the cafe, drank beer, settled their bills and walked out. Then they fished out guns from their bags and began firing.” Muslims do not drink alcohol, that is unless they are Muslims like Marwan Al-Shehhi and Mohamed Atta, who reportedly not only liked to drink but enjoyed lap dances by topless dancers as well before they supposedly hijacked planes and flew them into buildings.

Even though these firsthand accounts indicate the attackers were white, drank alcohol and displayed the steely and professional reserve of trained military men, the emerging story carried by the corporate media blames the attacks on al-Qaeda and specifically Lashkar-e-Taiba, one Arab and the other Asian. “A terrorist group with training camps in Pakistan and strong ties with al-Qaeda as well as a history of mounting attacks in India yesterday became the chief suspect behind the atrocities,” reports the Times Online, pointing to Lashkar-e-Taiba.

As the Times Online admits, Lashkar-e-Taiba is a creation of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence, or ISI. It “receives considerable financial, material and other forms of assistance from the Pakistan government, routed primarily through the ISI. The ISI is the main source of LeT’s funding. Saudi Arabia also provides funds,” explains the South Asia Terrorism Portal. Lashkar-e-Taiba “also played a part in the ISI organized ‘Bosnian campaign against the Serbs,’ which was directed above the ISI by the CIA and British intelligence.”

According to Andrew G. Marshall, the ISI “has long been referred to as Pakistan’s ’secret government’ or ’shadow state.’ It’s long-standing ties and reliance upon American and British intelligence have not let up, therefore actions taken by the ISI should be viewed in the context of being a Central Asian outpost of Anglo-American covert intelligence operations.”

The presence of “foreign looking, fair skinned” commandos who calmly gunned down dozens of people after drinking a few beers indicates that the Mumbai attacks were likely the work of the Anglo-American covert intelligence operatives, not indigenous Indian Muslims or for that matter Arab al-Qaeda terrorists. The attacks prepare the ground for the break-up of Pakistan and the furtherance of destabilizing terrorism in the Middle East and Asia. The Mumbai attacks had little to do with India or the relationship between Muslim Pakistanis and Hindu Indians.

“Pakistan’s position as a strategic focal point cannot be underestimated. It borders India, Afghanistan, China and Iran,” concludes Marshall. “Destabilizing and ultimately breaking Pakistan up into several countries or regions will naturally spread chaos and destabilization into neighboring countries. This is also true of Iraq on the other side of Iran, as the Anglo-American have undertaken, primarily through Iraq, a strategy of balkanizing the entire Middle East in a new imperial project.” (See Marshall’s Divide and Conquer: The Anglo-American Imperial Project.)

It is no mistake, as well, that Barack Obama has called for action against Pakistan. “If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf won’t act, we will,” Obama said last August.

Regardless of who occupies the White House, the global elite are determined to continue their agenda of violence and murder in order to realize order through chaos. Obama and the Democrats will spend the next four years blaming George W. Bush for what the neocons have done while making sure the same destructive policies remain in effect. It is a shell game. George Bush and Barack Obama control nothing, they are little more than front men for the New World Order.

Radicals threaten India’s global ambitions

Radicals threaten India’s global ambitions

By Jo Johnson

This is not the face that India likes to show the world. The faster it rises up the ranks of the world’s nations and the closer it comes to being a global power, the more India objects to being bogged down in a sub-regional conflict with Pakistan, its rival for the past six decades.

If there is one thing that the Indian elite fears could derail the country’s rise, it is that agents provocateurs acting on behalf of rivals could disrupt its delicate religious and ethnic balance.

Manmohan Singh, who as prime minister since May 2004 has presided over a spectacular transformation of India’s global standing, was quick to blame the country’s neighbours for the terrorist attacks in Mumbai.

Whenever terror strikes, the Indian elite instinctively looks for scapegoats beyond its borders, almost always blaming the Pakistan-based militant groups that are opposed to the peace process between the two nuclear-armed rivals. They point out that big terrorist attacks often coincide with periods of rapprochement.

“Unless the national security adviser had told the prime minister – a circumspect man not given to rash statements – that there was evidence of foreign involvement, he wouldn’t have gone on television and said this, especially when he’s trying to work with [Pakistan president] Asif Ali Zardari,” says Sumit Ganguly, professor of political science at Indiana University. “The Pakistani president has made a series of extraordinary gestures that the Indian prime minister is extremely keen on reciprocating.”

But the speed with which India blames Pakistan, or groups operating under the direct or indirect control of Islamabad’s main intelligence agency, worries those who believe that terrorism on Indian soil also has indigenous roots.

Human rights groups have long pointed out the risk that India’s most marginalised and vulnerable communities could prove susceptible to radicalisation. The spread of revolutionary Naxalism, a violent Maoist movement, has shown the appeal of radical ideologies to India’s castes and tribes.

Academics believe that the roots of India’s terrorism problem can be found in a complex fusion of greed and grievance. While a Muslim-dominated underworld plays a part in facilitating and carrying out terror attacks, that is just part of the story.

In spite of four years of turbo-charged growth, there are still hundreds of millions living in abject poverty, with next to no stake in an otherwise newly wealthy and self-confident society. Of all the groups yet to benefit from spectacular growth, none, apart from so-called dalits (once known as “untouchables”) and tribals, have fared as poorly as Muslims.

Some, inevitably, succumb to the blandishments of recruiters from the country’s myriad insurgencies and extremist movements.

The Muslim community, although far from monolithic, forms the second largest religious group in the country and represents just under 14 per cent of the 1.1bn population.

Sociologists describe the relationship of India’s Muslims to the rest of Indian society as one of “upper class inclusion and mass exclusion”. While a small elite – typified by the Khans of Bollywood, the aristocratic Nawabs and businessmen such as Azim Premji, chairman of Wipro, a leading software group – thrives in the new India, a far larger number of Muslims, in many cases low-caste converts from Hinduism, often face marginalisation.

A government report into the community’s socio-economic condition found India’s Muslims constantly battling perceptions that they were “anti-national”, “unpatriotic” or “belonged in Pakistan” and either withdrawing or being pushed into ghettos.

Markers of their identity, such as the burka, the purdah, the beard and the topi, a Muslim cap, produced ridicule and harassment. Bearded men said they were routinely picked up for interrogation:, hijab-wearing women that they struggled to find jobs.

The integration of India’s Muslim population into the economic mainstream has strategic importance for the subcontinent and for the west. Unless this underlying susceptibility to terrorism is addressed, India’s path to superpowerdom could be bumpier than almost everyone predicts.

Militants want to destabilise peace: Pakistan

Militants want to destabilise peace: Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Mumbai terror attacks and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s statement that the attackers came from a “neighbouring country” have spread widespread gloom here. They have spurred fears for the future of India-Pakistan relations, with leaders, officials and analysts urging both sides to work “more aggressively” towards peaceful ties.

Local television channels gave the happenings in Mumbai the maximum coverage through the day, packing in discussions and talks shows on the incident and its implications for the relations between the two countries.

President Asif Ali Zardari telephoned Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Thursday evening and said that militancy and extremism in all its forms and manifestations had to be eliminated and all countries needed to cooperate with each other in this regard, his spokesman Farahtullah Babar said.

Mr. Zardari termed the killings of innocent people “a detestable act” and condemned the attacks “in the strongest possible terms,” his spokesman said.

Mr. Babar told The Hindu that “militants and extremists want to destabilise the peace process and it is in the interests of both countries not to allow this.”

Strict measures

Earlier, in separate messages, both Mr. Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani condemned the attack. The Pakistan president called for “strict measures” to eliminate terrorism and extremism, while Mr. Gilani urged “concerted efforts to make the region a peaceful place.”

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi told Dawn News from Chandigarh, where he was visiting on Thursday, that he would meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Friday and express condolences on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan. He would also offer all support, assistance and co-operation from Pakistan in tackling the “common enemy” of extremism and terrorism that faced the two countries.

“We need to be calm, we need to be composed and supportive of each other,” Mr. Qureshi said

Knee-jerk reactions

Responding to a question about Mr. Singh’s assertion that India would take up with its neighbours the use of their territory to launch terrorist attacks against it, Mr. Qureshi cautioned against “jumping to conclusions” and “knee-jerk reactions.”

He also made a reference to the Samjhauta Express firebombing, which the Indian media blamed on militants from across the border, and said the investigations were now taking a completely different direction.

Analysts expressed fears for the gradually improving India-Pakistan relations and warned against allowing relations between the two countries to slide back.

Only on Wednesday, the home secretaries of the two countries issued a confident joint statement after their two-day talks in which they “condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations” and affirmed their resolve to cooperate with each other to combat it.

They further “agreed that terrorism must be prevented and, as directed by the leadership of the two countries at the meeting in New York on 24 September 2008, severe action be taken against any elements involved in terrorist acts.”

Rasul Baksh Rais, who teaches political science at Lahore University of Management Sciences, said it would only serve the interests of the terrorists if India and Pakistan let their relations get disrupted on account of this incident.

“If the terrorists are linked directly to the Pakistani government or an intelligence agency, this is the end of the peace process. If they are not linked but are said to have gone from here, even then it will impact negatively on our relations,” Dr. Rais said.

“Greater cooperation”

But he also raised the possibility of the involvement of “home-grown Indian groups,” and said the solution lay in greater cooperation between the two countries.

“India has to work with Pakistan, and work with Pakistan much more aggressively for peace. We must not send out the signal to the terrorists that they have succeeded in their design,” he said.

Mumbai The Mossad Angle

GAUTAM ADHIKARI SPEAK UP… DO SOMETHING…SAY OPENLY THAT THE RSS-MOSSAD ARE RESPONSIBLE–OTHERWISE BE DAMNED AND CONSIDER THE NATION DOOMED. THEY KILLED KARKARE TO SEND A MESSAGE THAT YOU CANNOT INVESTIGATE THE MOSSAD-RSS ANGLE.

Mumbai and India Under Attack

It is 4AM in India right now. I am in Mumbai reporting from the ground. I have not slept a wink. Mumbai is under attack. People and forces who killed Mahatama Gandhi, who demolished the Babari Mosque have triumphed. More than 16 groups of terrorists have taken over Taj, Oberai and several hotels. Hundreds of people are dead. For the first time no one is blaming Muslim organizations. The Mumbai ATS chief Hemant Karkare and other officers of the ATS have been killed. These were the same people who were investigating the Malegaon Blasts–in which Praggya Singh, an army officer and several other noted personalities of the BJP-RSS-Bajrang Dal-VHP were arrested. Karkare was the man to arrest them. Karkare was receiving threats from several quarters. LK Advani, the BJP chief and several other prominent leaders of the so-called Hindu terrorism squad were gunning for his head. And the first casualty in the terrorist attack was Karkare! He is dead–gone–the firing by terrorists began from Nariman House–which is the only building in Mumbai inhabited by Jews. Some Hindu Gujaratis of the Nariman area spoke live on several TV channels–they openly said that the firing by terrorists began from Nariman house. And that for two years suspicious activities were going on in this house. But no one took notice.

Our worst fears have come true. It is clear that Mossad is involved in the whole affair. An entire city has been attacked by Mossad and probably units of mercenaries. It is not possible for one single organization to plan and execute such a sophisticated operation. It is clear that this operation was backed by communal forces from within the Indian State. The Home Minister Shivraj Patil should resign. The RSS-BJP-VHP-Bajrang Dal should be banned. Advani and others ought to be arrested. Today is a day of shame for all Indians and all Hindus. Muslims and secular Hindus have been proven right. RSS type forces and Israel are all involved in not only destabilizing but finishing India. India should immediately snap all relations with Israel. We owe this much to Karkare and the brave ATS men who had shown the courage to arrest Praggya Singh, Raj Kumar Purohit, the army officer and several others.

A photograph publushed in Urdu Times, Mumbai, clearly shows that Mossad and ex-Mossad men came to India and met Sadhus and other pro-Hindutva elements recently. A conspiracy was clearly hatched.

This is a moment of reckoning especially for Hindus of India. The killers of Gandhi have struck again. If we are true Sanatanis and true Hindus and true nationalists and true patriots we have to see this act as a clear attack by anti-national deshdrohi forces. Praggya Singh, Advani and the entire brand is anti-national. They ought to be shot. Any Hindu siding with them is hereafter warned of serious consequences.

This is a question of nationalism. If no one else, the Indian army will not take this lying down. Communal, anti-national forces have attacked the very foundation of the Indian constitution and the nation. We will fight a civil war if need be against the pro-Hindutva, communal forces and their Israeli backers.
