Federals Agents Investigate Murder of Former Mexican Governor´s Son |
Mexico, Oct 4 (Prensa Latina) Federal agents arrive today to the Mexican state of Coahuila to support the investigation of Jose Eduardo´s murder, son of former Governor and former president of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), Humberto Moreira.The local prosecutor, Homero Ramos, told reporters that members of the deparments of the Navy, National Defense, Government and Public Security and the Attorney General will work with this goal along with the territorial authorities.Jose Eduardo, 25 years old, also nephew of the current governor, Ruben Moreira, was found shot dead yesterday near Acuña city.
This young man served as Program Coordinator of the Secretariat of state Social Development. According to unofficial accounts, Jose Eduardo´s murder could be linked to the confrontation between police and a group of Los Zetas cartel, which occurred last Wednesday, in which several criminals were killed, including a possible nephew of Z-40.
