Driver Killed, Four Tankers Burned in Mastung Attack on NATO Supplies

MASTUNG: A driver was killed and another wounded while four Nato tankers were set on fire in Mastung district of Balochistan, some 60 KM south of Quetta on Wednesday.

The tankers were on their way back from Afghanistan and were going to Karachi, when the assailants opened fire at them on the RCD highway in Ganji Dori area of Mastung. As a result, one occupant identified as Zakir died and another sustained serious bullet wounds. The assailants later set tankers ablaze and escaped from the scene on motorbike after committing the crime.

Levies personnel rushed to the site after being informed about the incident and moved dead and injured to the hospital. The tankers were gutted.

A case has been registered against unidentified assailants and investigations regarding the attack are in process.
