“In the past 72 hours, 180 insurgents were killed, 37 were injured.”
The Taliban’s shadow governor of southeastern Paktika province and 56 other insurgents were killed in a military operation in the past two days, the provincial governor’s office said in a statement.
In addition, 38 other insurgents were injured.
The operation was launched in Zerok and Gaiyan districts of the province to clear the areas of insurgents. It was here that Abdullah Belal, Taliban’s shadow governor and 56 other insurgents were killed, according to the statement.
