“I think we have enough reasonable people on both sides not to allow one,” Sergey Kislyak said

WASHINGTON, October 12. /TASS/. Russian Ambassador to the US, Sergey Kislyak, has said he does not think there is the risk of a nuclear war now.

“I don’t share the view that the risk of a nuclear war today is high,” he said on Tuesday speaking at the John Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC. “I think we have enough reasonable people on both sides not to allow one.”

The ambassador agreed that the Russian-US relations are currently “at the lowest point since the end of the Cold War.” According to the Russian diplomat, the responsibility for this lies primarily with the NATO member-countries behaving rather aggressively near Russia’s borders.
