Arrested terrorists in Iraq reveal its ties with Saudi Arabia

Members of the Islamic State of Iraq terrorist group and the Levant (EIIL) affiliated to Al-Qaeda, captured in Iraq, confessed to having direct links with the government of Saudi Arabia.

A channel of the Iraqi public television network showed images of the prisoners on Friday (17) which confirmed the links between Riyadh and the terrorist group.

The arrested terrorists revealed that they were supported by the Saudis and received orders from Riyadh to execute terrorist attacks in Iraq, besides informing that Saudi Arabia had provided weapons and car bombs to create chaos.

The revelations have occurred on the same day that the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Adnan al-Asadi Iraq, warned Saudi Arabia on its interference in Iraq’s internal affairs.

“The problems with the western province of Al-Anbar is a national issue and it is not about tribal issues, contrary to some opinions,” said Al-Asadi, prompting Riyadh that Iraq will be the graveyard of those who interfere in their affairs internal.

Recently, the Iraqi intelligence services managed to arrest a large number of armed men in various operations in the city of Karbala, 110 kilometers south of the capital, Baghdad.

A terrorist leader revealed support and intelligence from the Saudis to the members of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant and other armed groups operating in Iraq services, especially in the cities of Fallujah and Ramadi, located in the province of Al-Anbar.
